Martin Großhennig was born in 1960 in Wuppertal, Germany. He moved to Berlin in the 80s where he is still living, married and with a daughter. Originally trained as a furniture merchant, he was educated in England and Berlin at Gartner & partner art & antiques.

Between 1982 to 1985 he was an Assistant to the Executive in Raumpunkt/Berlin in the area of furniture and home accessories.
From 1985 to 1990 he worked as a store manager and buyer for the companies of Simpsons + Wohnship, Habitare.
Finally in 1991, he founded the Designer furniture agency Großhennig where he has been working as a self-employment representative of German and international furniture agencies in the German postcode region of 0-3.
He focuses on residential designers, high-quality studios, interior designers, architects and planners.
